Fancy Friday Sketch Challenge - Christmas in the Making

Hello friends!  Phew, I'm back again already (two posts in one day!) for a Fancy Friday blog hop!  My veeeery fancy friends and I - a mix of former and current Stampin' Up! Artisans and generally amazing papercrafters - are bringing you a sketch theme this month!  Check it out...

I looooved this sketch - so much that I made two cards with it!  I mean, I love creating from sketches in general, but this one gave me a GREAT canvas for one of those fabulous retro ladies from the Christmas in the Making stamp set, and I've been dying to share this one!

I'm breaking some rules with this one.  While I stayed super on-track with the sketch, I veered away from one of the best things about Stampin' Up! supplies - the colour matching!  I mixed two different reds and two different greens.  And I don't even feel bad about it.  I mean, she looks fabulous, right?!

That image was a ton of fun to colour with the brand new Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.  I love the ability to make highlights and lowlights in her dress and hair with such ease.  The markers are a DREAM to use - I can't wait to share them more with you, and I know you'll want to add them to your craft stash too!

But wait - I said I made two cards, didn't I?!  I saved the second one for Saturday... stop back then to see a same-but-different version of this card!

In the meantime, let's hop over to my Fancy (and SO kind, and incredibly talented - like WHOA, she humbles me!) friend Paula Dobson and see what magnificence she's whipped up!

But wait!  Before you sneak off,  check out what else is going on this month!
