Prize Pig - Barnyard Babies

Hello dahlings!  Happy Thursday!  Marching on today with our retiring features... counting down until Sneak Peek Saturday where I can share something from the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue!  My friends, I'm not going to lie - I'm so excited to share my new samples that each day, I *almost* write one up as a blog post.  Slap my hand - bad Shannon!  Patience is not a virtue I possess!

Two more days, two more days, two more days... I'm DYING to share the new, but you don't want to miss what's leaving!

So on with today's retiring feature - Barnyard Babies.  I LOVE this set.  It is so dang cute!  I almost made a goat card, because I have a weird affinity for goats... but at the end of the day, the little piggy called to me.

Really, we could do this card with any animal - but a prize pig just seemed so fitting with the award ribbon and the sentiment.  Aren't they the cutest together?!

Which animal tickles your fancy?  Are you a cow connoisseur?  A goat groupie?  A preferrer of the pig?  They're all just so dang cute, it's legitimately hard to choose.

Speaking of... have I ever mentioned our goats?  I think it's time to introduce them!  Meet our girl, Peaches.

Peaches isn't truly OURS, but we love to stake claim to that beautiful face.  We met Peaches last year, when she was without a name - the city of Calgary, where we live, introduced a natural weed management pilot program in a city park where they brought in goats to eat the weeds instead of spraying them.  The founder of the goat-weeding business offers a program to name a goat for a donation, and that's how we ended up with Peaches!  My son named her - we thought it was just the cutest, and later figured out it was because my uncle calls one's rear end your "peaches."  Boys will be boys, right?!  So don't tell this beautiful lady that she's named after my kid's nickname for booties!

A month or two ago, we got word that our Peaches had some kids!  Once again, my son chose names for these little ones - so we "added" Cocoa and Marshmallow to our adopted-in-name goat family.

Aren't they just the sweetest?!  I want to nibble on Cocoa's little tiny ears!

Aaaaaanyway... back to the card!

Retiring on this card is - as usual - almost everything!  Unfortunately, in the two days since creating this card, a little bit of it has sold out.  I keep telling you not to wait to place your retiring order, and this is why!

Barnyard Babies will be leaving us on May 31, and it's one you'll want to add to your stash.  My son will even help you name your animals, if you'd like!  :)

Don't miss out on the Tags & Labels Framelits or the Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper, either - click on over to my Stampin' Up Online Store to shop 24/7 in Canada.

Don't forget this month's host code - it's your key to receiving a package of current Stampin' Up! papers, ribbons, and embellishments in the mail as my thanks to you!

See you tomorrow - one more retiring feature before Sneak Peek Saturday!

Cheers,
Shannon
